Ice
Icicles were thawing and falling around us. too dangerous to climb in any nearer to the waterfall which had amazing ice lumps built up underneath. As we climbed out of the small gorge a large buzzard flew past low, near us, with a bird in its talons, a flock of small birds harried it- it disappeared into the trees before I could point the camera.

These are fantastic photos, Vicky! I saw a lot of icicles like these from the train on Thursday but was too close to catch them on camera - all the photos were blurred as we sped past. Great to see them captured here!
