Its reaching more than -15C here and diesel is freezing- so van won't start. So I'm photographing on foot, but still don't have to go far for fantastic views.

heading home from Broch Conference, Applecross. Saturday 2nd Oct. Stags roaring & rutting in the hills, saw one close to the road black from rolling in the peat with mud & grass in his antlers ( by the time I stopped van, got camera etc, he was blurry in the gloom ). The Bealach hill pass is due to close for major repairs this week- its about to collapse, so who knows when I'll photograph that route again!
