These lovely ladies were fellow extras on the film set we were on today. The morning was spent being 'mob in the forest' which involved an awful lot of high speed rough terrain running whilst shrieking as loudly as possibly, and more running, and screaming.... did I mention the running ?
In the afternoon we did 'the beach scene'; more screaming, then 'the death scene', lying around covered in fake blood in the freezing cold north sea wind. Some of the prosthetics were really gruesome, Rich was given a nasty head injury, I just had blood all over my abdomen...which soaked stickily through five layers. There was no warm water washing facilities so we sat the 2+ hour drive home covered in our gore, no we didn't pop into tescos. A great day out, loads of fun & a great crowd.

Thursday storm hits
Brrr the A9 shut The north of country in grip of snow storm, the 10 miles at the coast where we are seemed to be the best of it, but it was pretty co-o-o-ld!

Sunny Cold
Another stunning day. freezing cold & glorious sunshine. Camera does seem to wash out the colours though, Would love to paint some of the russet's and blues of the hills, but up to my eyes in comic horror strips instead. Maybe tomorrow....

A friend came today to lop my trees opening up the brilliant view from the house. The next two are photos taken on the way home from this afternoons work, sure beats the M25.

Icy Forest
So the trusty hound and I went for a clamber in the boggy, icy, impenetrable woods. Huge swathes of trees have fallen down since I was last there making it really hard to get through. My favorite photos were not all the dark trees but these; a peaty bog frozen in patterns, rainbow frozen peat oils not visible.
The view from the steep Dun at the edge of the woods, looking across to Attadale and the moon through the trees. It was all so gloomy I should have taken my tripod, but it wasn't exactly a planned adventure or I would also have worn a coat.

Cold Sunshine
-6C last night brrr. but daylight sun was warm & bright. buds trying to bud would have been more in focus if I wasn't so puffed out battling with a broken Bike uphill.
